How is leveraged profit calculated?
Profit = position size × price change. Leverage does not change the profit of a given position size — it changes how much margin you need to open it. ROI on margin = profit ÷ margin, which is why a 5% move at 10× leverage shows as 50% ROI.
Why does the calculator subtract fees twice?
You pay trading fees on entry and on exit. With leverage, fees apply to the full notional position, not just your margin — this is why high-leverage trades can lose money even when the price barely moves in your favor.
What does ROI on margin mean?
It is your profit relative to the money you actually put up (margin). It looks impressive with leverage, but remember the loss side scales identically: a 10% adverse move at 10× wipes out 100% of your margin.
